RCS #96: Ella Enchanted

Welcome to another challenge at Red Carpet Studio!
Hi all! It's Candice here with a new movie challenge!

Today's challenge is inspired by the movie ELLA ENCHANTED.
Based on Gail Carson Levine's award winning novel, this is the story of Ella, a young woman who was given a "gift" of obedience by a fairy named Lucinda. She must obey anything anyone tells her to do. When her mother passes away, she is cared for by her thoughtless and greedy father who remarries a loathsome woman with two treacherous daughters. This modern-day, fantasy Cinderella story features fairies, ogres, and elves...as well as a hero in the guise of Prince Charmont, whom Ella falls in love with. Unlike Cinderella though, she must depend on herself and her intelligence to get her through her troubles and find Lucinda in order for her "curse" to be broken! Written by M. C. Gomez

THE CHALLENGE: Create a project with a magical fairy tale theme.  Think royals, unicorns, fairies and etc...

My name is Holly Hughes. I am from Kentucky, married 25 years to my high school sweetheart, and Mother of 2 great kids, and Mother-in-Law to one wonderful Daughter-in-Law. My best friend, Barb Penn, got me into scrapbooking several years ago, so I got even with her and got her into card making. Oscar Winner Guest Designer Barbara

Today we are sharing our 1st Oscar Winner Guest Designer in honor of the Academy Awards. Our 1st Oscar winner is the talented Barbara Rouse.  Before we show you what she did with this weeks challenge lets get to know her a little first.

My name is Barbara. I am the mother to 6 wonderful blessings ages 16 to 24 and wife to one amazing husband.
In my free time I love to craft with my primary focus on paper crafting and loom knitting. I also dabble with sewing, plastic canvas, machine quilting and embroidery. My mom, baby sister and I sell our crafts at a couple of local craft shows during the “season” as a way to afford doing what we love.
When I’m not crafting you can usually find me at the gym or out doing a run of some kind. I’m not a marathon runner though. Instead I love to do mud runs like the Spartan Races, Zombie Runs and other local mud runs. I don’t run for time, but instead for the challenge to compete against myself. I recently recruited my oldest daughter to do a Spartan Race with me and we had a blast. Since then I’ve also recruited one of my sons who loved it and in a couple months will get my youngest daughter in on the act.
